How Lessons Work
In-Person and Online
All lessons are available in person at your home, in and around the Watford area, or online. The content delivered will be the same, however you decide. A stable internet connection, in a quiet, well lit room will be required for online lessons, and any materials can be sent in advance to be printed off. Please note that in-person attendance will be required for examinations.
Lesson Structure
Lessons last 30 minutes, and include a physical and vocal warm up, and time to work on the course materials. There will be a certain level of work outside of lessons also required, depending on the grade and your choice of course. LAMDA sets 'guided working hours', which include homework to be done in between sessions. Homework will take the form of: researching, reading, learning lines, completing worksheets, preparing presentations or written tasks. Whilst many children already have commitments in the form of school, homework, and after school activities, please be mindful that LAMDA will also require additional work.
Expectations
Learning LAMDA can be a journey of self-improvement, self-discovery and most importantly, fun. However, students will need to fulfil certain obligations to ensure the highest possibility of success. Students must be ready and on time for lessons to begin, materials must be kept track of in a folder, and certain deadlines, such as piece selection and line learning, are unfortunately fixed. My responsibility is to ensure your child has high levels of engagement with the work and by ensuring that your child is ready for the class, we can proceed in the most efficient way possible.
